Just a quick plea from your friendly neighborhood photographer....

..please don't put too much pressure on getting the "cheese" shot.

It will come and it'll come without us having to work for it or stress on it.

In all my 7 years of photographing I've always got "it" at one point or another in my photoshoots.

So don't worry about it.

Infact, don't worry about anything.

Don't worry about how your child's smile looks or how they're behaving, or ANYTHING.

Just truly live in this moment with your babies.

Kiss them, laugh with them, stare at their sweet faces, breathe them in...

make it weird, momma.

Let them be a little ornery and just laugh it off. Believe it or not, that actually photographs well.

What I'm trying to say is - come into your photoshoot with an open mind and zero expectations.

Be true to who you are as a family...

and that's probably not everyone standing in the middle of the field smiling at a camera and saying cheese.

It probably looks more like a game of tag or holding hands while walking to your children's favorite pond to throw rocks in the water.

After all, aren't these the moments you want to freeze in time?

So much love my friends,

ML✌
